Should I add a second photographer to my package?
Adding a second photographer is always recommended, at least for a few hours during the ceremony to the beginning of the reception. Having two photographers can allow photos to be taken at two locations at the same time, for example if the groomsmen and bridesmaid are getting ready at the same time, having a second photographer will be very helpful. If you are doing a first look, a second photographer is highly recommended so that multiple angles can be captured at the same time.
Will I receive every photo taken?
No, we do not deliver duplicate photos, and test shots, and we take our time to look through all of the images while editing to send you the photos that best reflect your wedding day. On average we send 40 - 60 photos per hour.
Can I build a custom package?
Yes of course! I offer multiple packages starting at $600, we can build that package to include an engagement session or add a couple more hours.
How much time will we have for photos?
Weddings are busy days for everyone involved, the day will fly by quicker than you may expect and weddings tend to run a little bit behind schedule. To make the day run as smoothly as possible, click here to view a sample timeline, specific to making sure everything you want is captured!
What should we wear?
Choosing outfits is one of the hardest and best parts about getting your portraits taken, and it's a great reason to go shopping for some new cute clothes. Make sure when picking out clothes to wear that you feel comfortable and confident when you look in the mirror, and that no one piece of clothing or jewelry stands out against the rest. Do you ever offer mini sessions?
Yes! I occasionally and seasonally offer mini sessions, I will post the details and dates on my Facebook Page, Instagram and website.
How many photos come with my session?
Each package includes different amounts of digital photos, be sure to read over your contract. You can also add the full gallery of edited digital images, or smaller increments.
Why do I need to pay a deposit?
The 50% non-refundable deposit ensures that the session is fully booked for your chosen date and time. If for some reason you are unable to make it, we can reschedule the session with no additional charge.
What equipment do you use?
Currently I use my Nikon D810 as my main camera body. My favorite lenses are my sigma 85mm and sigma 50mm, they are truly amazing lenses!
Do you offer mentor sessions?
Yes! Email me what you are looking for and we can work together to create something that leaves you feeling confident about picking up your camera.
Do you take interns or second shooters?
Yes! If you are interested in working with me, send me an email and lets meet! I pay $60 per hour for second shooting weddings.
What made you interested in becoming a photographer?
I picked up my first DSLR in middle school, and back then it was something I did after school just for fun, but also as my own little escape from the world. While my photography back then was mainly just of flowers and embarrassing selfies, it created a spark in me to learn how to take beautiful photos, and I haven't left my camera's side for more than a month.
